Reminder... An absence note must be submitted within 3 days of the student's return to school. The absence is coded unlawful and make-up work is not accepted if a note is brought later than the third day, or of no note is submitted. 

You may choose to write your own note or click here for the absence notice template form to serve as an absence note, explaining the reason and date for the absence, and have your son/daughter return this form to their 1st period teacher the next school day. 

Please note, students with 3 or more unlawful absences in a marking period will receive an "E" for the marking period. In addition, Board of Education's Administration Regulation 901.01 defines excessive absences as " A student who is absent  six or more days a semester...regardless of cause."  This is 12 days per school year. In secondary school, credit may be withheld due to excessive absences.
